New Halloween Video Game Trailer
Halloween video game is described as an asymmetric stealth-horror game, offering both single-player and multiplayer modes, where players can step into the shoes of the iconic slasher himself, Michael Myers. Developed in partnership with Compass International Pictures and Further Front, the game is set to launch in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Its official reveal took place during the Future Game Show at Gamescom.
The debut trailer showcases Haddonfield, the game’s primary setting and the backdrop of the original 1978 film. It opens with Laurie Strode sprinting out of a house, only to later be seen fleeing with another character as they’re relentlessly pursued by Michael Myers.
According to IllFonic, players will have two distinct gameplay options: embody Michael Myers as he stalks his victims across Haddonfield, or play as one of the town’s locals working to foil his plans. The studio describes the experience as a “1 vs. many” encounter, featuring meticulously recreated environments and an atmosphere faithful to the classic Halloween film.
The Halloween vide game’s official description sets the tone:
“Stick to the shadows as Civilians, warning Haddonfield residents and searching for a way to contact the authorities. As Michael Myers, give them a reason to fear the dark by cutting phone lines and ensuring the police can’t ruin his favorite holiday. Whether playing solo in story mode, battling bots offline, or facing others in online multiplayer, success depends on stealth, strategy, and skillful play.”
